The Ultimate Rabbit Hole #119

Happy Saturday!

How has your week been? I’m hoping not too stressful, and that your weekend has a healthy serving of self care thrown in 🙂

Make sure to check out the wonderful links from the rest of my trusty co-hosts, Sam at The Annoyed Thyroid, Shari at Good Food Week and Paula at The Geeky Shopaholic.

Ok, now over to MY favourite links of the week 🙂

Do you get worried about raising children in this tech-obsessed world? Here are some tips for helping today’s children be more active, happy, and mindful.

There is an epidemic of busy-ness in our society lately, with an over-valuation on burning out and staying busy all the time. People talk with pride about how little sleep they get, how much they work, and how stressed they are. How to stop this? Saying no more often is a definite start! Here is why no is the new yes, and how to create your Absolute No list each week.

If you find yourself ‘busy’ all the time, perhaps you need to rethink how you see busy vs productive. I loved this post on why you might be busy but not productive!

Would you take the exercise pill that delivers the benefits of fitness without actually having to do it?

Do you schedule your breaks during the day? Research has shown that downtime is more effective when it is planned in advance.

Engineering is still seen as a male-driven profession. Females like this are changing the game and want to inspire other young girls to be just as ambitious.

Need to practice more self care but funds a little low? Here are some inexpensive ideas for self care.

Every Saturday morning, we will open up the rabbit hole link up for bloggers to add their link list posts or even just their favourite post (if you are not of the link list kind) for the week. Please link only one post. This makes it fair for everyone and allows more posts to be read. Talking of reading, do try and pop along to say howdee to some of the other lovely linkers. This week, you can link up here or bob on over and say hello to Sam at The Annoyed Thyroid, Shari at Good Food Week and Paula at The Geeky Shopaholic. It doesn’t matter where you add your link because it will appear on all four blogs, as if by magic! The link up will stay open until midnight the following Monday.

Let’s get linking!

Love, love, love these links! Those self care ideas are great and that busy but not productive post was like it was written just for me! Happy Weekend! x

Totally agree with you, the busy vs productive is me to a T sometimes :O

  2. Sandra Kelly

The inexpensive ideas for self-care really spoke to me. We really don’t need to spend money to feel less stressed and more calm. Although saving for a massage is always something I make a priority. Because… hot stone massages are bliss. Thanks for the links. 🙂

I agree! I like to practice little moments of self care, but usually save for an indulgent one (massages are my fave!)

  3. Shari from GoodFoodWeek

So great links this week, Jess. I really need to work on my self-care.
