The Ultimate Rabbit Hole #116

Happy Saturday!

How has your week been? I’m hoping not too stressful, and that your weekend has a healthy serving of self care thrown in 🙂

Make sure to check out the wonderful links from the rest of my trusty co-hosts, Sam at The Annoyed Thyroid, Shari at Good Food Week and Paula at The Geeky Shopaholic.

Ok, now over to MY favourite links of the week 🙂

How do you handle negative or critical feedback? Not only is it a normal part of life, but asking for more of it can have lots of benefits.

Love the article on Stephen Wiltshire, an artist that can draw gorgeous, detailed cityscapes from memory, and how his Autism is not his most defining quality.

Are you a coffee drinker? Turns out your tolerance and love of coffee may be in your genes. Thanks dad!

Recent research from PwC revealed that only 3% of female students would consider a career in technology as their first choice. Crazy right?! Here is more information on what women in tech look like in 2017 (it might not be the stereotype you’re thinking of!).

This is a wonderful article on how to teach kids about consent, and how they can take ownership of their own bodies and decisions.

Do you find networking to be filled with awkwardness and anxiety? I love this article on how women in business network without being fake.

And if you’re a business owner and struggle with anxiety and low confidence, these tips may help.

Finally, I was laughing and nodding along to this brilliant video from Rachel Bloom (of Crazy Ex-Gf) on being a ‘ladyboss’ “How much boob is too much boob?”

Every Saturday morning, we will open up the rabbit hole link up for bloggers to add their link list posts or even just their favourite post (if you are not of the link list kind) for the week. Please link only one post. This makes it fair for everyone and allows more posts to be read. Talking of reading, do try and pop along to say howdee to some of the other lovely linkers. This week, you can link up here or bob on over and say hello to Sam at The Annoyed Thyroid, Shari at Good Food Week and Paula at The Geeky Shopaholic. It doesn’t matter where you add your link because it will appear on all four blogs, as if by magic! The link up will stay open until midnight the following Monday.

Let’s get linking!

  1. Sammie @ The Annoyed Thyroid

Loved that vid and how amazing are those cityscapes?! I’ve never heard of Stephen Wiltshire before but the man has skillz! Happy weekend!

    1. Jess

I know, the mind is a wonderful thing! I’m so impressed. Happy weekend to you too 🙂

  2. Robyna | the mummy & the minx

I have a Dutch family who all think that coffee and water are pretty much the same thing – so that explains it!

  3. Vicki @ Boiled Eggs & Soldiers

Just off to make a coffee now – just so I can perform better! I look forward to checking out all the other links too. Thanks for hosting

  4. Erika @ Ever-changing Life of a Mum

Amazing to think that a few years back I didn’t drink coffee … how times have changed!

  5. Bronnie - Maid In Australia

I love that guy! He is amazing. And guess what? I used to love coffee but I can’t drink it anymore. I miss it SO much! I’m also constantly on the look-out for clothes that aren’t too ‘boobie’ as my kids would say, and which cover my arms and legs, now that I am of a certain age. But flattering clothes like that are hard to find. Guess everyone will have to cope with some skin for now!
