The Ultimate Rabbit Hole #113

Happy Saturday!

How has your week been? I’m hoping not too stressful, and that your weekend has a healthy serving of self care thrown in 🙂

Make sure to check out the wonderful links from the rest of my trusty co-hosts, Sam at The Annoyed Thyroid, Shari at Good Food Week and Paula at The Geeky Shopaholic.

Ok, now over to MY favourite links of the week 🙂

I get that meditation isn’t for everyone, and usually there is too much pressure to do it ‘properly’. Which is why these meditation tips for people who don’t like to meditate are so great! I’ve also written something on meditation for people who don’t like to sit still.

Ok so just ONE more on meditation! Are you mindful when you’re angry? You should definitely start practicing, because it can be a very effective tool in calming down and being more aware of your triggers, thoughts, and physical sensations.

I’m currently spring cleaning my house (well, technically autumn-cleaning), but what about spring cleaning for the mind?

Feel like you don’t have enough time for self care? These 7 time management hacks will give you more time to relax!

Speaking of self care, here are some excellent self care tips for those who are stressed out and overwhelmed!

What do you think of this one behaviour that separates the successful from the average? I would probably have to agree!

The most successful people tend to have a great sense of routine. Here are 5 reasons why you should have a morning routine in place.

I really love this post on the rise of imperfect motherhood.

There really is an app for everything! This new app is designed to help you through a breakup, what a great idea for those that don’t feel like they have enough support.

Every Saturday morning, we will open up the rabbit hole link up for bloggers to add their link list posts or even just their favourite post (if you are not of the link list kind) for the week. Please link only one post. This makes it fair for everyone and allows more posts to be read. Talking of reading, do try and pop along to say howdee to some of the other lovely linkers. This week, you can link up here or bob on over and say hello to Sam at The Annoyed Thyroid, Shari at Good Food Week and Paula at The Geeky Shopaholic. It doesn’t matter where you add your link because it will appear on all four blogs, as if by magic! The link up will stay open until midnight the following Monday.

Let’s get linking!

  1. Erika @ Ever-changing Life of Mum

Really love your tips on ways to be mindful. I think it’s true that you don’t necessarily need to sit still and meditate to find those mindful moments.

    1. Jess

Yes, exactly! Mindfulness is not all about being still, but being aware.

  2. Nadalie Bardowell

    Hey Jess,

Thanks so much for the shout out to my 12 Easy Ways to Spring Clean Your Mind post. Much appreciated. I love this post, such a great of resources to help you get ready for the new season.

    Thanks again,

  3. Sanchie @ Living my Imperfect Life

I’ve been hearing a lot about morning routines on Chase Jarvis’ podcasts. I have a routine of sorts but it doesn’t really involve meditation or writing even though I’d love to have that in there. I just don’t have the time as I head out to the gym at 5:40. Gives me 40 minutes to get ready, feed my cats, have a cuppa and get out.

    1. Jess

I think exercising in the mornings is a great routine to have, and one that I would like to work on!

  4. Sammie @ The Annoyed Thyroid

So many links to love but my favourites were the 12 ways to spring clean your mind and the 5 reasons to have a morning routine. Pure gold! Hope you’re having a lovely long weekend x
