The Ultimate Rabbit Hole #109

Happy Saturday!

How has your week been? I’m hoping not too stressful, and that your weekend has a healthy serving of self care thrown in 🙂

Make sure to check out the wonderful links from the rest of my trusty co-hosts, Sam at The Annoyed Thyroid, Shari at Good Food Week and Paula at The Geeky Shopaholic.

Ok, now over to MY favourite links of the week 🙂

Do you use period-tracking apps? They are the most downloaded category of health apps, and this woman has produced one that fits ALL types of women.

Helping children practice mindfulness can be a wonderful way of increasing their emotional resilience, reducing anxiety, and teaching them to tune in to their body. Here are some great suggestions for mindfulness for kids.

Struggling with body confidence after having children? This mother’s truce to her body is so lovely.

Looking for some fierce and diverse female characters to watch this year? Here are 10 feminist TV shows to look forward to in 2017!

Not that you need an excuse to eat chocolate, but here is a way to practice mindfulness while snacking on the good stuff.

Speaking of mindful eating, this is a wonderful explanation of how mindful/reflective eating works. If you have ever struggled with disordered eating or issues surrounding food, this is a must read.

If you are an introvert like me, you know the intense dislike of certain awkward social situations. I love these 9 easy way to exit awkward situations!

Hooray for the first Disney gay character! “By representing same-sex attraction in this short but explicitly gay scene, the studio is sending out a message that this is normal and natural – and this is a message that will be heard in every country of the world, even countries where it’s still socially unacceptable or even illegal to be gay”

And a hilarious satire article on the ‘gay Disney outrage’ from The Chaser.

Do you consider yourself a happy person? I wonder if you also do these 8 things that happy people do.

Every Saturday morning, we will open up the rabbit hole link up for bloggers to add their link list posts or even just their favourite post (if you are not of the link list kind) for the week. Please link only one post. This makes it fair for everyone and allows more posts to be read. Talking of reading, do try and pop along to say howdee to some of the other lovely linkers. This week, you can link up here or bob on over and say hello to Sam at The Annoyed Thyroid, Shari at Good Food Week and Paula at The Geeky Shopaholic. It doesn’t matter where you add your link because it will appear on all four blogs, as if by magic! The link up will stay open until midnight the following Monday.

Let’s get linking!

I like that link, 8 things happy people do, I listen to music everyday at work, and the days I go in everyone is happy, I don’t know why they don’t play any music when I’m not there? I’m going to implement a few more of them too, thanks for sharing lovely lady, I love the water bottle idea too.

  2. Sammie @ The Annoyed Thyroid

So much linky goodness. I especially loved the Disney posts and how good were those 9 ways to exit awkward situations?!

I need to know ALL of them, I love having an exit strategy!

  3. Paula, The Geeky Shopaholic

I’ll have to check out that period tracker. The one I’m using now isn’t great. Hope you’re having a great week Jess!
